I can't believe that Katie Sue is heading on seven years old -how time flies! She just took first in western pleasure at the Ohio State Fair (second year in a row), first at the National Percheron and second in English at the National Percheron Show. Last year, she also took first in English Pleasure at the Keystone International Livestock Expo (all"A" rated shows). She is training in dressage with Robert and has become a true versatility animal. She is what we are striving for in our program: a truly versatile percheron. She is a very modern, up-headed lady and stands 18. hands. She has the heart to go to the top and a joy to own!

Katie's three offspring took first at the produce of dam class at Georgia National Draft horse show in 2007!

Katie gave birth to a lovely foal, Cielo Azure's Black Powder in early spring, 2007. Katie will hopefully be in the juniors class (English pleasure) with Spencer and continuing with riding classes as well as dressage training with Robert in the upcoming year.

What makes one animal so willing to give so much? To do it all. To have the heart to try, to learn, to listen.

Katie has the desire and the stamina to take on whatever task is assigned. She can win in cart and be in a team classs one day, stomping her big feet. Then turn around and win under saddle the next and the day, after that we are exploring new territory on a trial ride. She direct and indirect reins with ease. She is open to learning and is a joy to train. I am so proud of her, she is truly our beloved girl.

It is her heart is what makes Robert saddle her up almost every morning or evening and take her for a ride. She takes him to the next level and he takes her. They work as a team. To work with a horse like this is what horsemanship is all about, it is what we strive for.
